An old obsession and a new obsession.

Chocolate chip cookies. I have been making chocolate chip cookies since I was nine I think. They have always been my favorite. It is the only cookie I ever crave. With that being said, I have a recipe that has been burned into the back of my mind because I have made it probably one thousand times, and I believe that it is some sort of variation of the Toll House recipe, but I have also tried (and pinned) several others. The recipe that I used for this blog I had never made before, and I must say, I was incredibly happy with the results.

They were the perfect texture and so full of chocolate. They were also very easy to make, and they cooked perfectly! I had no trouble at all with them. I will definitely use this recipe again without a second thought.

I mean look at them.. They were perfect.

This is the original recipe that I pinned:

The new obsession that I talked about in my title is HUMMUS! The other day I found I was craving hummus so much which was interesting because I haven't ever really realized how much I liked it. But it turns out that I really, really like it. I bought some Sabra roasted garlic hummus (the family size) and me and a couple of my friends finished it off within a day.. I know.. I guess I should work on my self-control a little bit, but it really is delicious. And it is also incredibly easy to make! Amazingly enough, the hummus that I made turned out way better than the store bought stuff (who would have thought), and I will be making it again.. soon.
YUM!

Here is the recipe that I pinned for the Roasted Garlic Hummus:

Enjoy!

Introduction: My life and my goals.

There are many things that I love in life; I love my amazing family, my friends, my city, and of course, I love to travel and I love food. Traveling has been a huge part of my life these past two years. Last year alone I was to ten different countries, and this year I plan to go to at least four or five. I can't believe that I have been able to ride Elephants in Thailand, climb mountains in Nepal, enjoy shrimp sandwiches on the rock beaches of Norway, and relax in the sun on the beaches of Australia. I have been able to do so much already in my short life and I know that I'm going to be able to go on so many more adventures! One thing I love about traveling is being able to experience and enjoy the food and culture of the different countries. I have loved food since the beginning of my life, and as I have grown older, that love has begun to expand to a greater variety of foods. As a little girl, I was possibly the biggest sweet tooth around and my dream was to own a candy shop, I know, ambitious, but now as I have grown up, I have been able to develop some self control when it comes to sweets and I have broadened my taste so that now I greatly enjoy all kinds of food (I still want to open my own Café/bakery some day, so not too far off from a candy shop).

So what is the purpose of this blog? Well, I have had a Pinterest account now for about 3 years and in those three years I have collected over 400 recipes. Most of them have sat there for years, so I decided that instead of just going through my "yum" board and wishing I could eat the delicious food but never doing anything about it, I was going to take action. My goal is to go through my recipe board, and cook/bake everything that has a recipe attached to it. I don't know how long it is going to take, but my goal is to have it done in at least a year and a half. Where does the travel part come in? Well during that year and a half, I will be traveling a lot. I already have plans to go to New York, Romania, Hungary, Sweden, Norway, and France, and also, maybe Germany. While I am traveling, I probably will not be able to cook any of my recipes from my board, but I will blog about the delicious food that I get to try! So this blog is the documentation of my life as I try new recipes and travel the world. I will add the link to the recipe that I make with each blog post and I will post pictures of how the food turns out when I make it (I don't have a fancy camera, so the pictures will be from my iPhone, forgive me). I can't wait to begin this new adventure!
